Multi award-winning musician Samthing Soweto has become the first local artist to have simultaneous #1 releases on both the Apple Music Singles and Album Charts in South Africa with a Pre-Add release. His latest single Akulaleki (featuring Shasha, DJ Maphorisa & Kabza De Small) is currently topping the singles chart with his forthcoming album topping the Album chart. DJ Maphorisa & Kabza De Small’s single, Amantombazane, which also features the vocals of Samthing Soweto is at #2 on the Apple Music Singles chart.

Isiphitiphithi sees him working with top SA producers DJ Maphorisa, Kabza Da Small and Thabo Ngubane aka Mass, and includes some amazing features and co-writes with the likes of Sha sha, Ali Keys, Makhafula Vilakazi, Mduduzi Mathebula, Mduduzi Memela, and Bongkhosi Zondo. This eclectic and well curated album is a much anticipated stand out moment for Samthing Soweto to truly showcase his grandeur not just as a vocalist, but as a truly skilled writer and producer in his own right.

His distinct RnB, Jazz and Afro-Soul vocals make him one of the most desirable artists on the South Africa music scene. From his history with The Soil to his chart topping collaborations with Black Coffee, Sun El Musician, DJ Maphorisa and other South Africa giants, Samthing Soweto has become a much beloved household name.
