The ANC emerged out of such christianized Blacks, who, as their first call of duty to liberate their people, saw it fit to go beg the Queen in England for inclusion in the whites only legislation and governing system.

When I started pyrography in 2015, I gravitated towards images of women I found relatable. I chose images of women whose facial and emotive attributes spoke to me. The feelings evoked by the images were more than a mere double-tap, I felt a connection to them that seeped into my craft.

My then girlfriend was given the name Nyawozenkawu, due to her abnormally long feet. Apparently she was already a shoe size 10 when she turned 12 years old. One of my other friend's bae was called uSiyabhuyabhu. She was epileptic and was obese.

Very few men today who have fathered children in relationships that ultimately did not work, never had to fight for access to their offspring. The child is often used as a pawn in their parents’ bitter battle and mostly as a conduit of pain for the losing party.

This week's episode features two students from the University still known as Rhodes who are directing and producing a short docuseries on Queer Intimate Partner Violence (QIPV). We sit down with Tumelo Thamaga and Sinalo Tuku who talk to us about why they are interrogating this aspect of gender-based violence, and what hopes they aim to achieve through this production.
